The White Funeral Home Carl L. Fitch Scotia – Carl L. Fitch, 78, of Scotia passed away Sunday, May 9, 2021 at Albany Medical Center. Born in Troy, he was the son of the late Leighton and Rita (Ahearn) Fitch. Following his education at Hudson Valley Community College, Carl enjoyed a long career as a draftsman with John G. Waite Associates Architects. He was an avid gardener and extremely handy in helping out at his church, always fixing and improving wherever needed. He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Janet M. (Hill) Fitch, his stepdaughters, Pamela J. Wilson and Connie J. Dingman, six grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, one nephew, one niece and several cousins. He is predeceased by his parents as well as his stepmother June Graham, his brother Wayne Fitch and stepsister Sheryl Houghton. A visitation will be held on Wednesday from 4 to 6 pm at The White Funeral Home, 264 N. Ballston Ave., Scotia. A funeral service will be held Thursday at 12 noon at First Reformed Church of Scotia, 224 N. Ballston Ave., Scotia followed by interment at Memory Gardens, Colonie.
