David W. Miller

March 4, 1926 - February 13, 2021

Glenville- David W. Miller, 94 of Glenville passed away on Saturday, February 13, 2021. Born in Jersey Shore, PA on March 4, 1926, he was the son of the late Frederick A. and Erma L. (nee: Limbaugh) Miller. During WWII, David served in the United States Air Force. David received his education at Drextel College and Williamsport Technical Institute. In June of 1952, David married Shirley Purrington. Together, David and Shirley were members of Faith Baptist Church in Scotia and current members of Trinity Baptist Church in Niskayuna. David was employed by General Electric Co. in Schenectady for 40 years until his retirement in 1986. He was a member of General Electric Co.’s Quarter Century Club. In addition to his parents, David was predeceased by his brothers, Frederick J. Miller, Martin L. Miller and Joseph H. Miller. David is survived by his loving wife, Shirley Miller; sister, Susan Larson and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Monday, February 22, 2021 at 11:00 am at Trinity Baptist Church, 2635 Balltown Rd, Schenectady, NY 12309. Family and friends may call from 10:30am until the time of services on Monday. For those who wish to virtually attend the funeral services please visit, Trinity Baptist Church, Niskayuna’s Facebook page. Internment will take place at the convenience of the family in Jersey Shore, PA. In lieu of flowers, donations in David’s name may be made to the Walnut Street Christian School, P.O. Box 616, 201 West Highland Street, Avis, PA 17721 or the Trinity Baptist Church, 2635 Balltown Road, Schenectady, NY 12309.
