Elizabeth Mary Shine

Glens Falls: Elizabeth Mary Shine, 92, a resident of Glens Falls, passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 12, 2020 at home surrounded by her daughter and family. She was born on December 14, 1927 in Czechoslovakia and was the daughter of the late Anton and Franska (Rippl) Lorenz. Prior to her retirement, Elizabeth was employed at CR Bard. She also at one time employed at Glens Falls High School and a telephone operator in Europe. Elizabeth loved her home and had many special interests such as the outdoors, gardening, traveling and always being there for her children. She was a member of the Glens Falls Senior Citizens, Catholic Daughters and a faithful communicant of St. Mary’s Church where she was very active on the Bereavement Committee. Besides her parents, she is predeceased by her husband, Edward Joseph Shine who passed away in 1989 and her stepmother, Marie. Survivors include her daughter, Rosemarie Zoretic of Glens Falls; her son, David Shine (Carol) of New Mexico; her two grandchildren, Kristina Zoretic and Eric Shine; her great granddaughter, Brittany Bernash and her three sisters, Annie, Helga and Rosemarie all from Germany. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:00 am on Wednesday, November 18, 2020 at St. Mary’s Church, Warren St, Glens Falls. Burial will follow at Pine View Cemetery, Queensbury. Calling hours are scheduled from 1:00 to 3:00 pm on Tuesday, November 17, 2020 at the Regan Denny Stafford Funeral Home, 53 Quaker Rd, Queensbury.
