Jane L. LoCascio

December 27, 1943 - February 7, 2021

QUEENSBURY-Jane Louise LoCascio, 77, of Queensbury passed away on Sunday, February 7, 2021 at Glens Falls Hospital. Born in December of 1943 in Bronx, NY Jane was the daughter of the late William and Louise (Pearson) Kilcullen. Jane raised her family in Washington Township, NJ. She later moved to Queensbury, NY in 1974 where she spent the rest of her life. Prior to her retirement Jane spent over 30 years as an insurance underwriter for Travelers. Shortly after retirement she became a great grandmother and spent her following years enjoying and spoiling her great grandchildren. To those closest to her, Jane was known as “Granny Pants.” All her life, she spent sharing her generosity with those around her. She was an avid reader of mystery novels, a garden guru, and outstanding chef. Her vivacious personality and dry sense of humor brought light and laughter to those around her. Her fondest memories are those with her sister Jean, walking the beaches of the Jersey Shore and South Hampton. Jane also spent most summers at her second home in Schroon Lake, NY surrounded by her family and friends. Jane was preceded in death by her sister Jean, whom she is now reunited with, along with her parents and grandparents. Those left to cherish her memory are her two children. Her son Anthony LoCascio and his partner Jennifer Neifeld and Jane’s daughter Suzanne LoCascio. Her three grandchildren: Thomas and his wife Antonia, Adriana and her husband William (Strong), Danielle and her fiance Anthony, her two great grandchildren Penelope and Declan and several nieces and nephews. Family and friends are invited to and may call from 3-6 pm on Friday, February 12, 2021 at Singleton Sullivan Potter Funeral Home, 407 Bay Road, Queensbury, NY 12804. The family wishes to extend a special thank you to the nurses and doctors of Tower 6 Glens Falls Hospital for their care and compassion. Memorial donations can be made to the C.R. Wood Cancer Center of Glens Falls Hospital.
