Suzanne Clune Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Waverly, NY- Sadly, Suzanne Clune, 76, passed away on Saturday April 10, 2021 at Elderwood at Waverly, where she enjoyed the care she received for the past 2 years and lived closer to her son, John and “daughter”, Amy. Born in Schenectady, NY on March 28, 1945 she was the eldest of four daughters to Joseph and Edna (Palumbo) Smith. Sue graduated from Notre Dame High School and went to work at the NY Telephone Company for many years, taking a long break to raise her son and returning to AT&T until retirement. Sue enjoyed baking. Her amazingly decorated creations were enjoyed by many friends and family. She and her husband, Richard, were proud members of the former Liederkranz Club where they had many friends. Predeceased by her parents; husband, Richard; sister, Jo-Anne (Warren) Klein and nephew, James Ginter. Sue is survived by her son, John (Amy Brisson) Clune; sisters, Lou-Ann (John) Keast and Paula Smith; nephews, Daniel Ginter, Joseph (Cindy) Klein and Aaron Zabinski; nieces, Denise (John) Lauriello and Sara Zabinski and many cousins. Per Sue’s request, a private service with internment at Memory Gardens will be honored. Anyone wishing to may make a donation in Sue’s memory to the Alzheimer’s Association, 4 Pine West Plaza #405, Albany, NY 12205.
